3*+
This is interesting. It's like three different songs in one.
Sounds like a boyband track but Wikipedia says they're an indie pop band, alrighty then. I suppose it's okay, undecided at the moment though.

EDIT: Kinda cheesy and those chipmunky I'm ready's are really annoying but the production is pretty good and I'm finding it addictive. I guess I like it now.
I've been hearing this a lot more and I don't like it any more than when I first heard it. The singer has an awful voice, The production is budget and irritating. Just really not my thing! At least it looks like they're having fun.

Whoever decided that the 'I'm ready, I'm ready, I'm ready' bit should be in there should be kicked out of the band (or fired).
Whichever brother is the one in the middle of the video, he looks so annoying and punchable :P Anyway, as much as I don't want to like this, it's so catchy and I can't get "I'm ready, I'm ready, I'm ready..." out of my head once I hear it. Spongebob pride! 4.5.
What the fuck is this shit?
This reminds me that Spongebob is still irrelevant.

EDIT: Now that you think about it, if this becomes a massive hit, I can at least hope that some music artist will sample from Adventure Time and it will become a hit.
Pretty crappy in retrospect.

2.5*
This is like seventeen different songs mashed into one mess and while a couple of them aren't bad most of them are pretty annoying. I kind of expect it to grow on me though.

Edit: It took longer than I thought it would but it's certainly grown on me now. Even the chipmunky "I'm Ready" repetition is no longer annoying me. This song has a ridiculous amount of hooks and they're all very catchy. I just love the "I know what you're thinking when the bass starts ringing can you tell me when you're stoked to start?" part especially.
The beat drop is definitely the most acceptable part, however it's only one little section of what is an a la carte sort of pop song. I can definitely do without the chipmunky title drop at least, but most of the rest of it is little more than irritating. 2.5
Ok
Very mediocre.
Damn you Spongebob, why are you awesome! 3.5 - 4.
What a mess!
One of my favourite things on the internet https://rateyourmusic.com/list/plugman/albums_as_described_by_spongebob_squarepants_quotes_/

So I don't think taking something random from a cartoon and putting it into a song is sofa king we todd ed, but I do wish they'd used a better one, y'know, something that highlights that our beloved sponge can be witty and subversive, not nauseatingly annoying.

This song has a lot of other perhaps ill-advised ideas that make it easy to dislike, like the at times uncomfortable bass modulation, and it's hella cheesy too, but I for some reason don't hate it. I found it surprising too that Sia is apparently a big fan of this group, and gives a shoutout which gets a shoutout in the video, which by the way needs to be properly enjoyed now while it can, because YouTube will probably make the smallest of adjustments to its layout within a year and subsequently ruin it. 3.6
One of those songs that is so borderline between annoying and genius... I kinda love it, but can see why people would detest it.
Looking back this really is a big steaming turd, so painful.
What a painful song. The only reason it was really popular was because of the spongebob sample.
Eigentlich ganz witzig.
I can't help it - I am finding myself really liking this!
